WELCOME

Airdale Primary School, situated in the regional township of Port Pirie, has a strong focus on learning. Our major priority is literacy and improved pedagogies for literacy teaching and learning. The school motto of 'Achievement for All' is reflected in our broad range of learning programs.

Students' achievements are also celebrated through our school reward program, 'Awesome Airdale'. A variety of alternative success orientated programs allows for personalised learning and includes technology, gardening, cooking, life-skills, and separate boys and girls groups for mainstream literacy and numeracy learning. Specific programs are established for students with special needs. We also have an Out of School Hours Care (OHSC) and vacation program.

Thinking and acting in a way that shows others you care about their feelings and well-being and your own. This means we:

Use a respectful voice level

Being sensible, reliable and accountable for your own actions. This means we:

Act in a safe and sensible manner

Being able to recover from anything that you find challenging and to get balance back into your life. This means we:

Talk through our problems
Accept each others differences
Stay in control of our emotions

Believing in yourself, knowing your strengths and having a go. This means we:

Participate and try our best
Put in the extra effort to achieve our personal best
Are willing to take risks with our learning

Sticking with a task by trying different ways even when things are new and tricky. This means we:

Stay on task
Know what the task is and the expected outcome
Don’t give up
